Verity McCormick

Verity studied Drama and Theatre studies at the University of Surrey. Verity graduated July 2003 with BA Honours degree. She has a LAMDA Level 3 Certificate in Speech and Drama performance studies. Verity taught for 8 years at a London performing arts school, teaching ages 3-18yrs. Verity has always had a passion for the performing arts and theatre. She believes that the performing arts play a vital role in education, inspiring children just as they inspired her to found Theatre Arts UK in 2009.

Rebecca Frost

Rebecca has a NVQ Level 4 in children and young people. Rebecca has worked in the childcare industry for thirteen years. She has now worked as Executive Assistant for Theatre Arts UK for 2 years. She thoroughly enjoys working with children and seeing their confidence grow. Rebecca has always had an enthusiasm for theatre and the performing arts. She is currently work as a Nursery Manager as well as working for Theatre Arts UK. She is very excited about being part of the Theatre Arts UK team.

Jessica Brake

Jessica studied Music and Drama at A Level and went on to study Performing Arts with Music at the University of Chichester. Jessica graduated October 2010 with a 2:1. Since graduating, Jessica works as a music teacher of voice, piano and flute. All of which she began learning at an early age. Jessica has always had a passion for theatre and music, and enjoys all aspects of performance. She is currently working with Hayling Island Young Stars on their production of Guys and Dolls and is their Musical Director for the show. Jessica is very excited about the work she will be doing with Theatre Arts UK.

Dawn Watmore
Dawn Watmore

Dawn trained professionally for 3 years at Performers Dance College. After graduating in 2008 she has worked within many strands of the industry including, adverts for T-Mobile, filming for MTV and a variety of tours including dancing on a UK sell out tour with N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder.

Having gained her teaching qualifications while at dance college, Dawn has always had a passion for working with children and really enjoys being able to teach and inspire them to get the most out of their dancing while having fun. She is really looking forward to being involved with Theatre Arts UK!

Guest tutor
Philip Joel
Philip Joel

He graduated in 2007 with a National Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. During his studies he also gained his I.S.T.D. teaching qualifications in modern and tap.

Film and Television Credits include: Lilliputian soldier/dancer in 'Gulliver's Travels', click track dancer for the lead in 'Nutcracker and the Rat King', dance captain MTV 'Living On The Edge', 'Top of the Pops' as a backing dancer for Inaya Day and GMTV '100th Anniversary for the British Heart Foundation'.

Choreography Credits include: resident choreographer, 'Aladdin', Liverpool Empire. 'Ensemble/Juvenile Chorus Auditions', First Family Entertainment. 'Wedding of Eamon Holmes & Ruth Langsford', Hello Magazine.

When not performing, Philip teaches dance at a number of performing arts schools across London.
